The DGD Board voted and approved an increase in our membership dues that will take effect on January 15, 2014. The increase will help cover the costs of materials needed for membership and associated expenses. We have not had an increase in membership in over twenty years.
Thank you for your interest in Desert Gold Diggers, Inc. (DGD)! Listed below are some facts that may be helpful to you:
*Individual memberships: you must be over the age of 18 to join
*Family memberships: consists of you and your significant other; or you, significant other and any children under the age of 18 living in the same household. (If a child under the age of 18 wants to visit the claim without parent/guardian a DGD waiver must be signed and notarized by parent/guardian)
*Each membership requires one name badge.
*One ID card will be issued per membership.
*Your membership is good for one year from the date that you joined and must be renewed on your anniversary date listed on your ID card. This renewal is at a lower cost.
*Each new membership packet consists of DGD Claim Maps, Membership ID, One Badge, General Claim and Club Information, shipping fee and a monthly/bi-monthly Gazette sent to all current members.
*Once we have received your payment and you have been issued your ID card, you will become a member of our club. We do however, reserve the right to cancel or revoke our membership for any circumstances deemed warranted by the Desert Gold Diggers Board of Directors.
New Membership Fee:
$50.00: includes new packet; one badge; shipping fee and gazette sent by email
$55.00: includes new packet; one badge, shipping fee and gazette sent by mail
$10.00: each for any additional badges
Annual Renewal Fees:
$35.00: includes annual renewal fee, new ID card and gazette sent via email
$40.00: includes annual renewal fee, new ID card and gazette sent via USPS mail
$12.00: for first replacement badge (this includes mailing fee)
$10.00: for any additional badges needed (These will be sent with first badge)
For your convenience an online membership application is provided below. Membership applications are also available at the monthly meetings. In either case the completed form must be accompanied by a check or money order for the proper amount if mailed or it can be brought to the monthly meeting with cash, check or money order.
If application and payment is received in the mail your new membership packet and ID card will be mailed to you. Your badge will be mailed to you after it has been printed. If application and payment is received at our Membership meeting your membership packet and ID card will be given to you at that time and your name badge will be mailed to you after it has been printed.
In addition to the package of claim maps that you receive as a new member, claim maps will also be issued for new claims as they are acquired. You will be given a choice if you would like your maps on paper or a CD. Laminated claim maps are available at our gift shop for a small fee.

We have 3 nugget drawings for wearing DGD hats during our meeting, 3 nugget drawings for wearing Name badges and 1 nugget drawing for wearing your DGD shirt each month. Hats and Shirts can be purchased at the DGD Club Store table; tickets are available at the raffle table. To receive these tickets you must have your hat, shirt and/or name badge with you. You may also purchase additional raffle tickets at the current price.
Change of address or Email address: If you are a winter visitor to Tucson or move, you must send a change of address to the Membership Director. Our monthly/bi-monthly Desert Gold Digger Gazette is sent out via bulk mail and cannot be forwarded to a different address. It is just dumped and we both lose. Same thing goes for Email addresses. If you change your email and your gazette is sent via email it will come back to us. Change of addresses should be sent to the Desert Gold Diggers, Inc., Attn: Membership Director, P.O. Box 5215, Tucson, AZ, 85703. We must now pay for address corrections – it will not be forwarded, but we will have to pay up to $1.00 to get your new address – if you have left one on file. You can also send your new address to me via e-mail at Membership Director.
